When you think of Apres Ski you would be forgiven for expecting lots of shiny ski jackets screaming Johnny Depp Depp Depp. Morzine swerves this cliche' and offering up some seriously good ravey goodness both on and off piste.
DnB, House, UKG and a whole array of low freq bangers can be heard pumping from impressive sound systems around Morzine. Here's the lowdown on the best spots to get your fix in the Haute-Savoie...

Happy Hours Bar - Ardent Tele 'Cabin
When: 15:00 - 20:00 Daily. Big party on Wednesdays.
Where: Bottom of Ardent home run. Party bus back to town on Weds. Ask bar.
What: Drum and Bass, House, UK Garage, Hip Hop, Bass Heavy Bangers
Vibe: Chilled(ish) beers till 16:00, then absolute chaos.
How: Ski down from Avoriaz or get the telecabin down. Buses from Morzine till around 16:00. Hitchhiking is sometimes possible if you miss the bus.
Located at the bottom of the legendary Star Wars run, Happy Hours weekly parties have become infamous; attracting lovers of bass music and good times. Wednesdays see the tent rammed with seasonaires, locals, expats and punters; with local and guest DJ's.
This isn't your usual Apres party, more a rave on the ski slope. Things kick off around 3pm and slowly evolve into chaos; expect mayhem past 6pm. Crowd surfing, missing clothes and DIY C02 to be expected. The end of season party is always huge.
Take a ski lock or a pair/board you don't mind diggin out of a pile of gear and passed out 'Jungle Juice' victims. Lately some big DJs have been gracing the tent, such as BISH and Gardna.

Cafe Chaud - Morzine Town
When: Opening times change, usually busy from 9/10pm.
Where: In town up the road from Rue de Bourg. 12 Chem.de la Coutettaz
What: Drum and Bass, Jungle, House, Techno, UK Garage or Punk n Rock depending on the night - Check their insta.
Vibe: Main party spot in town from around 22:00
The heart of the seasonairre bars in town, Cafe Chaud, where toffee vodka flows like water, bass vibrates your eyes and your coat/gloves/dignity mysteriously goes missing forever (rip my hat).
Located up the short cut from Rue De Bourg, the infamous bar has been hosting parties for years and is the ruin of many a seasonairres 7am shift. Usually gets pumping around 10pm but is just as fun going early for a fill sesh. Sometimes has free pool aswell. Give the yeti a hug.
House, Disco, UKG, DnB all get spun on the regular. Resident selector DJ Zenjet is our tip. It's also home to the infamous Punk night which is a fuckload of fun.

L'Passage - Super Morzine
When: Afternoons on the slopes
Where: Just up from the Super M bubble, ride down Zore bearing skiers right.
What: DJs spinning House, UKG and some liquid DnB.
Vibe: Sunset vibes and postcard views.
Located on the scenic Zore run at the top of Super Morzine Telecabin, L'passage is a spot with some of the best views to accompany a sunset drink n dance. Regular DJ sets from some of the best DJ's in the valley.
L'alpage - Ardent Bowl
When: Afternoons on the slopes
Where: Ardent Bowl, just down from Avoriaz.
What: Aperol spritz chilling to Hip Hop, Trip Hop, House, Funk
Vibe: Great spot for a midday bev throwing snowballs at the chairlift above. Can get pretty lively now and again.
A sick lil spot for a cocktail or 10 under the chairlifts. Great place have a chill in the sun after smashing the slopes, makes for a very fun slide down at close. You can ski down to Happy Hours from here if you want a bit of an Apres crawl/slide.
L'Opera - Morzine Town
When From midnight till it all goes pete tong
Where: Morzine town
What: Techno, House and sometime DnB. A BIG headliner event every few months.
Vibe: Can never remember
End of the line. If you end up here you probs wont remember much bar some blurry memories of pumping techno, heinken stubbies and a cage. Open very very late.
